GILMOUR'S
The Robin Hood of Street Animals
It doesn't begin with an organisation. It begins with a life.
With mine.
I was always on the move. I have seen the world, lived through so much. And ever since my very first year of life, there was always a loyal furry friend at my side.
Maybe that is where it all began.
In the beginning, I was alone.
And later, with her – my loving wife Deniz. She carries the biggest heart for animals – selfless, with a sense of justice that is contagious and changes everything.
There have always been two things that shaped me: the love for animals. And the passion for old, rare cars.
Cars that are precious not because of their price – but because of their story and their values. Because of what they carry. Because of what they keep alive.
Old values.
But one thing has never changed:
The worth of a life.
A drive like an old engine that never truly stands still.
One that urges. That pushes. That never lets you go.
The urge to help. To protect. To be there for those who cannot protect themselves.
I was out there. On streets all over the world. In cities that never sleep, and in places most people would rather avoid. And again and again, I saw them:
Those eyes.
Whether on Skid Row in Los Angeles, in the back alleys of Turkey or along dusty country roads – everywhere the same picture met me: Hurt. Hungry. Alone.
They are loving souls that so often no one sees. But I could not look away.
no one will.
This is how GILMOUR'S was born.
GILMOUR'S – The Robin Hood of Street Animals.
It is not a project. It is not a name. It is a decision.
They do not complain.
They wait.
For someone to stop. For someone to look. For someone to say:
You matter.
We are out on the street.
We lift animals out of the dirt. With bare hands. With pounding hearts. With the fear of coming too late.
We stand in animal clinics at night, while others sleep. We hear diagnoses that hurt. We see bills that are almost impossible to carry.
And time and again, we decide:
This life counts.
Sometimes a single life costs thousands of euros. Not because it is special. But because it wants to live.
Many of these animals will never have a home. Too much endured. Too much pain. Too much fear. They stay. And that is exactly why they need us. Not for a moment – but for their whole life.
The belief that a good life comes with a duty.
has no chance.
We collect donations. Not for numbers. Not for projects on paper. For lives. For surgeries that save. For food that fills empty bellies. For time an animal would otherwise never have.
Every contribution is not an amount. It is a decision. A decision not to look away.

We don't just drive on.
We stop.
